Directions
Heat the oil and fry the onion for a few minutes
Add ginger and garlic and fry for a couple more minutes
Add turmeric and chilli powder and fry for 1 more minute
Add the mushrooms and potatoes and the water and salt and give it a stir
Put the lid on and cook it gently for 15 minutes
Add the Garam Masala and coriander and give it a stir, put the lid back on and cook for another 15 minutes or a bit longer if the potatoes need it
Ingredients
- 400g mushrooms
- 400g small new potatoes (waxy)
- frozen peas - you can guess the amount, about a cupful
- 1 tblsp oil
- 1 sliced onion
- 1 tsp chopped or grated fresh ginger
- 1 clove of garlic, crushed or finely chopped
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder - or as much or little as you like
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1tsp salt
- 1tsp Garam Masala
- Handful of chopped coriander
